Linden Alarm Clock

This tiny alarm clock is very unique. On its rather tall case is a little handle, possibly to allow it to be hung from a hook, or more likely just ornamental. Aside from that, look at that face! It has a very striking geometric design, bordered with reflective flower print. The hands are luminous and ornate. The stretched numbers do make it a little more difficult to read in my opinion, but alarm clocks aren't meant to be incredibly accurate anyway. (I consider one of these little guys accurate if they're within 1-2 minutes.)

This clock unfortunately does not run for more than a few minutes. The plate is bent, one of the mainsprings is damaged, and the balance spring is too fast. These are of course all repairable, but it will take time, and more importantly, tools. Expensive ones I don't have access to at the moment. (I miss my old workshop)

Like many clocks of this type, it uses a separate spring for the alarm, and the metal housing of the movement as a bell. This one happens to be broken. Not sure what happened there, but I was winding it and suddenly the weight of the spring was fully on the key. These small springs are thankfully weak enough to be let down by hand, so I did exactly that. A larger clock could have broken my hand. Needless to say I have not heard what this alarm actually sounds like, and don't know if it's calibrated correctly.
